Daniel Millbank brings a multifaceted expertise to his role as CTO, grounded in over two decades of hands-on experience in the technology sector. Since 2019 at Xpress Global Systems, he has modernized core platforms, built a foundation to scale automation and AI efforts, while delivering meaningful gains in productivity, cost, and cash flow.

In addition to enhancing core technology capabilities for infrastructure, cybersecurity and applications to reduce risk, his efforts toward competitive technology and business innovation efforts directly drive profitability and sustainable growth. 

Daniel has an in-depth understanding of the XGS business and operations ecosystem, backed up by an expansive knowledge of information technology, risk management, vendor management, human resources, & compliance. He is actively involved in board deliberations and has a proven track record in people empowerment and strategic development.

Beyond his role at XGS, he dedicates his time advancing IT education and workforce readiness through community partnerships and by serving on industry advisory boards, like his work with the University of Tennessee and Chattanooga State, to align higher education with real-world IT, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity industry needs. He is also a contributor to CompTIA certification curriculum development, logistics-industry technology research, as well as several online articles and podcasts. 

At XGS, he received the company’s highest honor, the Leadership Award in 2022, and his leadership has been recognized with Info-Tech Research Group’s CIO Award in 2023 and 2024.
